Our Leagues
Men's and Ladies League Information ...



Men's League comprises of a maximum of 18 teams of 8 men per team with additional spares. The teams are sponsored by local businesses. The format is a shotgun start, 9 hole match play tournament played each Wednesday evening over a 19 week period with one point being awarded for each hole won and one half point for each hole tied. The total points made each week determines each teams place on the ladder. At the end of the 19 weeks, the top 16 teams play a knockout playoff over 2 weeks to decide the overall winner.

The first night of play will be Wednesday April 28th at 5:30 p.m.



Ladies League is played on Tuesday evenings. It is intended to be a social night, encouraging golfers of all levels to participate. The league is unique in that it is open to members of the Club and non-members. Weekly play begins the first week of May and runs until the end of August. A Round Robin schedule is developed at the beginning of the year and teams play a Stableford format. At the end of the year, prizes are given out to the first three teams who accumulated the most points throughout the year. Weekly prizes are awarded for Low Net, Low Gross, Closest to the Pin and the player with the most points.

Registration Night is Tuesday April 6th at 7:00 p.m in the Clubhouse.
All participants are encouraged to attend to register their team for the upcoming golf season.    Single registrants are also welcome.
The first night of play will be Tuesday April 28th at 5:30 p.m.



Ladies Thursday Morning League comprises of lady club members who wish to play a friendly game starting at 8:00 am. Cost is $2 per week. Sign up on the sheet in the Ladies Locker Room before noon each Monday. The draw is made at lunchtime Monday. For more details contact the Pro Shop.  Ladies Interclub play against ladies of other clubs in Medicine Hat and surrounding area. You play either here at MHG&CC or at your opponents club. This is a team event. Signup and information is in the Ladies Locker Room.

Junior Program

The Elks Junior League will be on Sundays from 4:30 to 7:00pm and Mondays from 12:00 to 2:00pm starting in July and ending in August. Junior League is limited to 60 juniors. Last day for registration is May 31, 2010. You must register with Tyrone Edwards.

Junior Year End Wrap Up

- Designed to recognize the achievements of all our junior league members.- An opportunity for the juniors to conclude the year with a dinner to celebrate the conclusion of the golf season.
